Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic form of manual medicine dealing with the treatment and prevention of a variety of conditions. Osteopathy is usually regarded as a therapy for treating musculoskeletal conditions such as back or neck pain. However, Osteopathic treatment can be helpful for problems related with all areas of the body, including:

• Sinusitis
• Neck aches
• "Frozen" or stiff shoulders
• "Tennis elbow" and arm pain
• Back pain
• Disc problems
• Aches and pains during pregnancy
• Bladder problems
• Hip, thigh and knee problems
• Calf and shin problems
• Tinnitus
• Jaw problems
• Whiplash injuries
• Asthma
• Breathing problems
• Digestive problems
• Wrist pain
• Pelvic pain
• Incontinence
• Arthritic pain and stiffness
• Foot problems

Osteopathy uses in depth biomechanical and physiological knowledge in conjunction with thorough clinical diagnostic assessments as well as detailed medical history.
Osteopaths use their hands to diagnose and treat a wide range of painful conditions. They use palpation (highly developed keen sense of touch) for examination to identify tissue and joint dysfunction.
